Sunday, December 3 – Advent Breakfast and Wreath Making
All families and parishioners are invited to our annual Advent Sunday Breakfast on Sunday, December 3rd after the 10am service in the Parish Hall. We are having a potluck this year, so bring your favorite breakfast casserole to share! Savory or sweet dishes are welcome and we will provide fruit, coffee cake, and beverages. If you would like to provide a casserole please email Kathy Compton at kathylcomp@gmail.com so we will know how many to expect. And, as always, you don’t have to bring a casserole to participate – everyone is welcome in fellowship!
We will also be making Advent Wreaths on this day so you may continue your celebration of the season in your home. Many of you have made wreaths in past years and may have foam or metal wreath rings in your garage or storage. In the spirit of reuse, we encourage you to bring your wreath rings, and any gently used candles, to create your arrangement this year. We will provide plenty of fresh greens, pipe cleaners, wire, and scissors. And if you don’t have a wreath ring at home, we will have extras to start your tradition!
Advent and Christmas at St. Francis
Experience the wonder of Christmas at St. Francis Episcopal Church! Join us as we celebrate the Incarnation of the Word of God in the birth of Jesus Christ. The Christmas season is a time of joy, reflection, and gratitude. All are welcome to share in the warmth of our community as we commemorate The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Bring your loved ones, and let’s rejoice in the true meaning of Christmas together.

Campus Cleanup Recap
On Saturday, November 4, several dedicated parishioners descended upon the grounds of St. Francis and worked to keep Mother Nature in check. From 8:30 to noon or so people were busy using hedge trimmers, clippers, rakes, brooms, shovels, tarps and blowers. The grounds look wonderful, thanks to teenagers who were there for service hours and the St. Francis Faithful. The devotion of the congregation is amazing; several people who were not able to be there on Saturday came beforehand and did a great deal of work, trimming back trees and shrubs. Thank you to everyone who participated – it was a great day!
Military Outreach: Packing Boxes for our Troops
Join us Sunday, November 12, 2-4 p.m., as we pack boxes to send to our troops overseas. Everyone age 5 and older are welcome (with parent supervision) to help! If you can’t make it no worries you can still help: donate items listed on the flier or donate $22 to help pay for shipping. Any questions? Reach out to Susie Zimmerman at 310-316-5941.
