St Francis Lent Build—Habitat for Humanity
Once again, God’s people are in need of a good carpenter.
This year St. Francis is very excited to be joining together with Habitat For Humanity and other local churches in the Deanery to build a home for a family in need. No construction experience is necessary—all you need is a desire to help make a difference in the lives of others. You may sign up for one or both days. We need 8 volunteers from St. Francis for each of these days.
You will be fed, not just spiritually, but physically. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
We’ve had so much fun in previous years – we promise you will enjoy your day and finish with a terrific sense of achievement.
To fund our Build Day, the St. Francis community is pledging $1,500 to Habitat For Humanity. Please consider making a donation to this very worthy cause. To help fund raise, the St. Francis community will present the family that will live in the Lent Build house with an artistic “brick wall”. Each brick in this wall will contain the name of a St. Francis donor. Bricks can be purchased for $50. Checks should be made out to “St. Francis Church” with Habitat for Humanity in the memo section.
