Groups & Classes

Explore and Belong

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we will help you get connected to others, and to explore your beliefs.

Whether it’s small groups, classes, or quiet days, there’s a place you can belong. Don’t forget our Outreach programs too. They’re a great way to make friends, while working together on a common cause.

Contact the church office to find out more.

Life Groups

Small groups provide a context within the broader community of our church to connect and grow, deepening our relationship with God and others. Groups create sacred spaces where we can support and encourage each other.

For help finding a group, contact the leaders directly, or our Rector – The Rev. Jason Shelby. They will all be happy to hear from you!

  • Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

A national organization – all Episcopal women are automatically a member. We focus on the needs of the women of the ECW, the mission of our parish, and our mission of outreach. We have several guilds which form the basis for building closeness and friendship.
Contact: Anna Eakins – your new friends are waiting to meet you!

Quiet Days – see below for details.
The ECW sponsors two quiet days in Advent and Lent. Men and women are all welcome.

  • Friars

A great group of guys who whip up meals or special treats for all-parish celebrations like Lenten Suppers, Mother’s Day, and the Get Connected BBQ. It’s a great opportunity for fathers & sons to spend time together too. Contact: Dick Briggs

  • Nurture Group

Meets in members’ homes from 6:30-8:30pm the first Wednesday of every month.

A safe space to nurture and deepen your spiritual life. Each meeting begins with a shared meal. We offer hospitality to each other, listening and sharing our journey of faith together. The group uses different methods to examine and deepen our spiritual lives usually by working through a book by a great spiritual writer and thinker…but it is definitely NOT a book club. Our group likes to work with books and videos that spur us to action in our lives. We seek to develop the spiritual disciplines such as contemplative prayer, silence, listening and soul friendship. Anyone is welcome.

Contact: Sue Egan via text @ 310 293 1431 or email.

  • Sages - (Senior Adult Group of Episcopalians)

A friendly and welcoming group. We were on hiatus during Covid, but are in the process of re-starting our programs. For questions or interest, please contact Kristina Pelá
